Gray rock
I just got to wondering where the O&G's are getting all this gray rock they are laying on all of these pads and roads they are making. Sorry to interject a topic so inconsequential. I was just curious.
Is this stuff indigenous (sic) to our area, or is it shipped in from Arkansas or elsewhere? I figure they use it because it is found around here somewhere close and they get it cheap. Do I miss my guess?

Its not indigenous to my area if its SB2. Train it in from Arkansas I think. At least thats where several construction companies around here were getting it. Pad work has driven the demand and cost out of the roof on it. Just like everything else I guess. Last load I got a couple of years back was about $550. They sell it by the ton around here and my last load was mostly water. Needless to say thats why it was my last load.

Be sure and get them to color the concrete while they stamp it. Looks very natural that way.
