Kudos to Encana for sponsoring the new center. It is monitored by as well as designed by the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association. It is located at 400 Travis Street, Suit 1501, Shreveport La.
President of LAOG Don Briggs hopes the local office will be able to educate people about the process of negotiating leases,including the fact that lease values are mainly based on speculation.

I can live with that. I suppose we all have our line in the sand anyway. I would never eat a horse or a dog, but a cow? That a different story.

I God didn't want us to eat cows, he wouldn't have made'em out of steak.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
