ShreveCentre Coalition recently posted this advisory on it's blog at the Shreveport Times. Although it doesn't specify who/what areas are receiving such offers, the SCC president felt concerned enough to post an opinion.

I thought so too, at first. However, that could lead to legal complications. I think it's more important that some important language is explained. Don't know that I fully understand it, but I know to look out for it.
In light of KB posting her experience under "Landman just stopped by 30 minutes ago," I thought I'd bump this link for those in that area who are interested. Thanks for sharing, KB.
Arrrrr, thanks matey! Hey, great idea for a Wii game, Pirates of Haynesville .. maybe throw in a little operatic singing like Pirates of Penzance. On second thought, nah ... I havent' heard SS sing yet.
Rosebud - Do you know family member's section, range, township? August was about the time the SCC started getting formally organized, so that lease may not necessarily meant any activity was/is intended for that area. However, with the recent blog posting of SCC in The Times, and with KB's recent experience, who knows what is being planned. Maybe agents are having to keep a work log to document they're still working & contacting landowners. (Ha, Ha) Have you thought of asking Les. B. about any current permitting in that area over on his drilling rig locations discussion?
Thanks, hope all is going okay for you.
The closest one I've heard discussed from various sources is one behind the auto mall area. Haven't actually seen it myself. That may be in S. Highland's section. Will have to check maps & SONRIS.
But I can't think of where they'll clear the 500' from an inhabited dwelling. Maybe that's why Glover wanted the Baird property cleared? But that's probably in another section. Don't know, can only speculate, unless I can find a permit on SONRIS.
500' is really not that far.....

Maybe they have wavers from l/o,

Maybe they will just buy a few dilapidated homes...tear'em down....
I know it's not that far, I've been trying to convicne some of my neighbors & homeowners' assoc. board members of that. I've even "walked" the distance off in my nieghborhood to demonstrate to some just how close it really is. We have open pasture to the east of us all the way to the Red, nabors 620 is visible from the perimeter of our neighborhood. There are those here that think drilling won't be done any closer than that.
