Information regarding the Findley, O'Neal & Anderson Survey's in East Texas.

HI everyone, I'd like to know if anything is going on in any of these surveys: Findley, O'Neal & Anderson Survey's in East Texas. My lease in the Findley survey expired a couple of years ago and I've heard nothing since.  Any information would be helpful. Thanks EG

You will need to narrow that description to a single county before we can help you. East Texas covers a lot of territory and it's possible to find those survey names in each and every county in the region so be more specific, please. If you have the abstract numbers add them with the county name.

Thanks jffree1, I'm referring to Harrison County, the Elysian Fields area. I apologize I don't know where to find the abstract numbers. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

You might want to write down the survey names and abstract numbers for future reference.

J. Findley, A-247

Bailey Anderson, A-30

Francis O'Neal, A-527

They are adjacent near/on the Panola County line.

Penn Virginia was the last operator to file permits in any of these surveys, back in 2010 in the J. Findley Survey. They had a number of permits filed but now most of those locations appear on the map as canceled. One or two are still active permitted locations and PV still operates several wells in those surveys but they have not drilled anything in Harrison County in a couple of years. They come back and re-complete a well once in awhile but they changed their focus to the Marcellus and other areas some time ago.

Thank you so much!  And as you have suggested, I have written down the abstract numbers. Also, in your reply you mentioned that PV, which is who I had my lease with, has wells in the above mentioned surveys which they are still operating.  How can I find out if those wells are producing, and if they are, if I should be earning royalties from those wells?

Thanks again, jffree!!!
