I'm a big duck fan myself, but it looks like a Turkey for me tomorrow and chocolate cheesecake. Bon Appetite.

I know there has to be some unusual dishes being served up tomorrow...?

Little ducks get no respect. LOL I used to favor Wild Turkey, but that's going waayyyyy back. Anyway, hope you & your family enjoy the day & the company of just being together.
Hey "H",
Whats wrong with Turkey ?
That big goofy joker dang near was our national bird!
Not to mention how good he is cajun fried with a big spoon of cornbread dressing on top.
Better let you go. Heating the grease up as we speak!

May each and every person on this site truely find something, other than the obvious, to be thankful for today.
God Bless and be safe!
Sushi anyone? A 10-pound turkey is probably bigger than my Japanese oven.Hope you're all having a GREAT day...
Sushi? Do they sell turkey breasts or drumsticks in Japan? Probably don't have a Publix there. :-) I'll think of you while eating leftovers. Something else to be thankful for.
Cracked me up! The only turkey I can find in Japan is imported...have to special order them and it takes 5 days to be delivered. Most are about the size of a chicken but I found a bigger one this time.

I'm friends with some of the American guys in the professional basketball league here. They called me up out of the blue to ask me to cook Thanksgiving dinner for them. We're having a party on Sunday night (they're off this weekend!!) Yep, you guessed it. They want to eat MEAT...no sushi for them. Ordered that 10 pound turkey I mentioned before...cost about $60. Hope it fits in my oven, which is about the size of a medium-size microwave in the States. That's probably why I'm so thankful for fish on our special day...they're easier to cook, easier to squeeze in the oven...and we definitely save more $$$...I mean ¥¥¥.
cajun fried turkey and cajun fried pork ribs yummm!!
Cajun fried ribs ? Doesnt sound good right now because I am stuffed more then a turkey but would like to hear how thats prepared. Do you inject the ribs or just marinade ?
st.louis style pork ribs work best because the whole slab is pretty close to the same size. shoot them up just like a turkey with what ever injector you like (hot and spicey butter) is good then marinade in itailin dressing over nite then cook them just like a turey the slabs are like 2.5lbs so you cook them for like 10 min. you can cook more than one at a time depnding on the pot when they finish cooking wrap in foil for around 30 min. then there ready to eat. pretty good stuff. they look burnt when you get done but looks are deciving...lol
Honey Dijon Ham
We had turkey, roast, and mirliton shrimp dressing.
pilgrim,

Mirlitons - yummm. You must be from South Louisiana.
Venison, anyway you wanna cook it. But I am in Indonesia right now and must wait till I get home.
