landowner trying to find an attorney who specializes in mineral law

I'm a landwoner and have been trying to find an attorney who specializes in La. mineral law. This is relative to representing me at a well cost hearing in Baton Rouge. I've noticed some excellent attorneys on this website but don't know their names or how to contact their offices. Does anyone know where I could possibly find a list of the mineral law attorneys in the Haynesville Shale area that represent landowners?

Can anyone tell me where on the sun rise website I can find the index to docket numbers for past well cost hearings?
Where would I find a copy of the Commissioner's Rules of Proecdure for well cost hearings?
I just noticed that each hearing applicant has to send a check for $755.00 "made payable to the Office of Conservation". That's a lot of monay for people on a fixed income. ouch!
Is there any reason I can't set out on the interested parties list all of the unleased owners in the unit, and not just the ones making the applications? Other than the postage, is there any extra cost per interested party name?
How would I find out if someone has already had a well cost hearing for a well? Does the commissioner only allow one well cost hearing per well per unitized zone per operator? It would seem that it would be the kind of thing that only needs to be done once by the Commissioner per well per sand.
Phillip Downer is as good as they come, send me a message and I can give you a personal recommenadation.
I've tried every name I can think of in the martindale search engine and not a single one of their names comes up at all. For about an hour I thought I was on to something, now I'm back this morning to finishing the application and petition.
I just looked up on the martingale website the lawyer who was engaged by the operator to handle my well cost matter. He is shown with a single AV but his firm appears to be a heavy hitter in the oil and gas business -- which may work to their advantage in that they may know more about the process than I do.
If the Commissioner decides that the sworn detailed list of well costs is fraudulent and so vague and inaccurate that its less than worthless, does the Commissioner then go about trying to sort it out by allowing the operator to place new evidence at the hearing, or does the Commissioner just throw the detailed well cost list out, as if it wasn't filed timely?

At the hearing should I object to the Commissioner allowing the operator's fact witnesses to place new well cost information in, or should I not oppose it and then bring it up during the civil suit appeals phase? If I object, would the Commissioner then get mad and decide to vote for the operator?

I'm finding this stuff so complicated (especially the well cost hearing side) that I'm thinking that a lawyer's time would be too valuable for him or her to handle this kind of thing anyway.

If anyone can point me to a well cost hearing docket number for me to make a copy of - to use as a guide for the hearings, I would very much appreciate it. I’m also looking for related civil suit phase opinions.

I hope the hearing and the East Baton Rouge trials are held in a wheelchair friendly and accessible rooms. A lot of public places say they are accessible when they’re really hell to get to.
The Commissioner will likely receive by mail my applications for the well cost hearings on Monday (I did a separate one for each unleased owner), along with the checks. Does anyone know about when to expect the hearing dates to be?

I decided to pass on the pre-hearing conference thing. I hope that is ok as to well cost hearings. If not, I hope the Commissioner returns the checks so that I can re-use them for the amended applications. If we forfit those checks, we're dead in the water for a month, maybe two.

I've decided to file the civil suit petition on Tuesday in East baton rouge parish. I'll know soon enough if I'm in the right court. For all I know I should be in federal court or both or neither. I'm only concerned about interupting prescription (if that is what you call it) at this time. I just got an estimate of the cost of service of process. Its a killer it is.
KB - would you be interested considering our case? I've tried to get in touch with you previously, but do not have a name, phone number or email address? only KB
