I had a three year lease with Ck that has just expired. What or my options? The section my land is in is shared with Petrohawk or now BHP. Have you heard of others with the same situation? The land is in Desoto Parish  Sec. 21 Town 11 Range 14  Thanks for any and all advice.

Petrohawk holds the HA unit order for your section.  Send a certified letter to CHK requesting that they file a release of your lease in the public records of DeSoto Parish.

Petrohawk has 8 rigs running in the LA Haynesville Play all drilling unit wells (first wells in a section/unit).  Contact Petrohawk and ask if they are planning to drill your section.  If so, ask to be put in touch with someone in the land department who can make you a lease offer.

Thank you  for your response.

Thanks will do
