Lest We Forget! Dem's Desire "Socialized" Energy Sector

Hmmm... wonder if royalty owners mineral rights would be absorbed via "Emminent Domain"?

Wonder if Maxine Waters will renew her desires once gasonline prices start rising?

I think we are all racists to some degree or another. I think the younger generation are far less racist than any of us and I think we are far less racist than the generations older than us.
I don't know what you mean by "the other side of the argument here." There hasn't been a consistent topic at issue on the thread and I joined midstream simply to suggest that we deal with the fact of racism as adults: acknowledge it and deal with it.
Jim, This is the same escape hatch you jumped through when I was asking you about your views on success. You will recall that you had implied in a post that success and failure were purely the result of chance. Your analogy was blackjack. Or, as Dick Gephart said of successful people: “The winners of life’s lottery.”

Why do questions about the intent of your posts make you so uncomfortable?

four sentences; seven "'you's;" and two direct insults.
Bob,
I love using the word you, come on. My english is bad, my puntuation is worse. My sentences are broken. But as you long as you get my point I'm happy.
A psychiatrist would say that those who use "you" in almost every line stated when in dialogue with others or in discussing a subject are self centered and suffer from self delusions; it also is common among addicts, drugs, alcohol, sex, etc., because addicts are the epitomy of self delusional self centered personalities.

And a partridge in a pear tree...:-)
LOL
Beat my wife? Are you kidding? She would kick my ass...:-)

Love that snapper man, that's a hog. I'm going up to Arkansas this morning to do some Stripper fishing.
Thanks for your comments, people lesson the meaning of what a racist is, by labeling anyone who doesn't agree with their views a racist. I have been on this site for a year and maybe have seen only a couple, and they no longer even post on here.
Where in ARKANSAS, I used to live near Beaver Lake. We caught some stippers in the 20lb's 30lb's and had friends that caught 50lb's. Yep it is that time again!- I will post another picture of a big grouper when l change my picture .
Have a Great Day Fishing!
Sorry Jim,
Just now reading your post, no I was not refering to you. But that's why I have my picture for all to see. So when I'm telling them their full of sh^t they can look in my eyes when I'm saying it.

I disagree that acknowledging the fact that we are all racists to some degree is the same as saying that we all are serial killers. But, I do believe that we are all racists on some level. I do not believe we are all David Dukes. It's just that it's impossible not to see differences.

Well of course you believe that Bob, but that still doesnt change the premise of my point.
If we have no control over emotions and characteristics we are born with , that have become entangled in our DNA somehow, why even blame racists for abhorent behavior ? It is in their "biological nature".

It all boils down to accountability. The less accountability we have in regards to our choices, the easier it is to clear ones conscience. If I have no control over what my inner feelings are, I cant be held accountable for them.
Wrong, IMO.

I do cede a point, to some degree, that it is nearly impossible not to chose sides when dealing with socialization issues. But from my standpoint, it clearly has to do with the socioeconomics view. It doesnt matter who gets more of my share, but whether or not that person has the ability to do for themselves and if so, why arent they ? The problem I have with most, "well to do" socialists, is how come they havent given all that they have to the needy instead of waiting for socialization to take some from everyone elses ? Its cheaper on their pocketbooks! Its much better to wish everyone into giving. That way they dont have to pay more than their share. Yet by pushing the socialistic type issues, they get that warm fuzzy feeling without having to actually pay for it themselves.

Not to mention that it may also cause them to feel a little less racist deep down inside.:-)
I have enjoyed the dialogue, Bob. It has been a long time since I have engaged someone here for the pure enjoyment of debate. I thank you for that. It has allowed me to take my mind off of some of the unpleasantness that we must go through, in our lives as mere mortals.

P.S. (Quote from Bob) Racial discrimination is treating people differently through a process of social division into categories not necessarily related to race.

Racial discrimination is not socioeconomical in nature. While one can use socioeconomics to try and justify racist feelings, it is merely a tool used to enhance the agenda, not a byproduct of said hatred. Racism is entirely too ugly to lump everyone, that just differs in opinion, into that category.
