LNG Exports & Imports

If Russia/Gazprom can swing this deal with S. Korea, reducing the chances that Russia would look to unload their LNG in the US, would it help create a more favorable climate for ng production in the US? I know our Russian imports weren't/aren't much in the "big picture," but I believe the imports supplied the West Coast, and the W. Coast seems to favor less electric power generation by coal as a fuel source.

Sesport, there is a very low possibility of Sakalin LNG making it to North America but any Korea investment $$$ probably lowers that chance even further. Of course Gazprom continues to pay for West Coast access rights even if not utilized.

'Kay. I think Russia should do everthing they can to contract as much as they can with Asia, where they'll get higher prices, and let us worry about supplying the W. Coast. We'll be happy to "hold their reservations."
