Why does this not suprise me that it is such a small amount. So this one is going to be right in there with Sec 20 & 19 a little trinkle to hold the leases.
Linda, how far is this from the TX Line such as Joaquin and Huxley (down Sabine---Toledo Bend)?
Marg, this is about 20 miles from Tx Line.
Amazing. How can you pay for $8-10M wells with this kind of production?
If one is relying solely on the Haynesville, the answer is you would go broke fast. Chesapeake must have expectations for the Bossier Shale in this area at some future date.
Good point and thanks for cheering me up (lol).
It appears that all of the Logansport Field is "inside" the economic contour line on the HK EUR Core Bossier Map. The only suspected Bossier well completion in the Logansport Field that I have heard of is the Chesapeake Blacklstone 26-11-15H #1 (239343) which reported an IP of 8.02 MMcfd on a 20/64" Choke with 5,360 psi. The completion report omits the list of formations penetrated by depth and the TVD is 10,983'. The CHK HA well in the section immediately east lists TVD as 11,390' and the section to the west has TVD of 11,383'. The Blacktone 26-11-15H was referenced as a Bossier completion in an Encana report.
Just wondering if there is any more news on section 16 & 17?

Sec 16- currently flowing around a million cubit foot a day

Sec 17- currently flowing around 1.2 million cubit foot a day

how long does it take to start rec'vng royalty checks?

Does anyone know if there are wells on the Sabine River on the La. Side?  If so, are there any good shale wells near the river toward Toledo Bend?  IF I had time, I would like to drive that area.  I have minerals on the TX side of the river front in a couple of places.  I suppose that one would say it is "down" the river from Logansport. (That is a woman thing--not ignorance, I hope).
