Good to know..I thought that Gerald was smart..and Kitten wasn't found under a turnip bed.  I watched a few of the shows...appeared to me that the things they did spend money on were sensible..business improvements and job opportunities for the kids, homes updated.  Of course that trip to the country club had me on the floor laughing since I am a country club matron.  I wish I could have watched the golfers as the family  played the greens.  The 19th hole was always my favorite hole. Some of the understatements of the membership secretary were works of word art.

My bird dog used to run the golf course and I giggled as I watched the impending cardiac arrests of the golfers.

Who wouldn't like to have a big loving family warts and all?

Gerald and Kitten are having fun with it, it's all tongue and cheek.  I enjoy the show, the kids enjoy the show, it's all good fun.  It's one of the few shows you can watch with the family and not worry about having to mute it because of language.  Duck Dynasty is another show that is good to watch with the kids.

$10 million payout on 200 acres.  Parkdota is this figure a total payout for everyone combined, or just the mineral owners?

That would be production only, not even counting lease payment, for 25-30 years total 16 Haynesville wells paid to mineral owner only. Keep in mind they might not inherite other 100+ ac and there is no telling when drilling will start again. If they don't inherite, the pay out on 8 HA wells would be $5 mill low end with high of $10 mill plus. The land they might inherite appears to be in a much better location of production also. The mineral owner is the only one making money which I would imagine to be Gerald only. Kids get nothing unless it's given to them assuming they don't have some mineral rights.

What gas price are you assuming?

Current with marginal increases over time.

Parkdota, I think they were held by production with old wells on their property so I have to assume they never got a bonus on those 100 ac.

Well I still waiting for the 3 wells on my 90 acres...the pad is there but no drilling.

I don't know that I will be any smarter then the rest of the shale billionaires.

But I do figure my little village will get a new fire station, EMT supported ambulance, and maybe a medical clinic out of it.

It doesn't take much for me really.  But sure would like to have a Winnebago out of the proceeds.  Might just park it in the pasture and sit in it and watch the rigs.  Or sit beside it and fish with a cane pole and worm.  Maybe get somebody to play 42 with me while I watch.  See? I have simple wants..

All I have to do is live long enough for them to drill.

Its coming.

I haven't seen the Halliburton caravans with those red suited crews around here lately and sure miss them.
