Not sure how to interpret this and we may have others here in the 2 ONEAL wells referenced above. Wells producing a yr+. w/ out issues but as evidenced below in the weekly reports (WI owner) they show an almost total lack of NG production beginning 22 Nov. My SONRIS search yielded nothing definitive (email into CHK land) thus I was hopeful that an SME here might have some insight into what's occurred in that sec. or in adjacent ones.

The usual reason for shutting in production of HA wells is the impending frack ops for near by horizontal wells.  I note several near by well groups with live work permits for completion operations.  Operators generally want to shut in wells in order for formation pressures to increase before the fracks start in those near by wells.

TY much Skip, what I suspected but being a non-industry type I defer to SME’s like yourself & an early Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you, MB

Guess I shouldn’t? be surprised w/ the vagary here the CHK land man’s reply “The referenced wells have been temporarily curtailed.”

Sounds like a customer service rep instead of a landman.  A landman would have used the term "shut in".  I've never heard one use the term "curtailed".

Total agreement Skip, just wordsmithing IMO & if I hadn’t sent the email direct to the original landman that contacted for me for my participation  decisions w/ these two wells I would’ve said it was sent by a CSR type also.
