Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +29 to 975 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 29 rigs from last week to 975, with oil rigs up 26 to 791, gas rigs up 3 to 184, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.

U.S. Rig Count is up 234 rigs from last year's count of 741, with oil rigs up 200, gas rigs up 35, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.


The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 16 rigs and down 5 rigs year-over-year.

thanks Keith,  hopefully in year from now you will have the Austin Chalk listed as major basin....

Some companies are setting idle while others are taking advantage of the cheaper rig rates.   I just received 11 division orders from Chesapeake for your LaSalle County lease.
