You need to download and install Google Earth, then go to Earth Point and download the PLSS overlay for Google Earth.

Just make sure you have the PLSS box checked, so you will see the sections, townships, and ranges.

Gale, learn to use the interactive maps on www.sonris.com for Louisiana mineral info of any kind. It's got a pretty good selection of data, once you learn to work with its quirks and what layers to turn on . The SONRIS site is good enough that it's useful for thing that have nothing to do with minerals, aerial photos, topo maps, etc.
