The Senate just voted on the NAT GAS Act offered as an amendment (#1782) of the
Transportation Bill #1813.
The amendment failed by 9 votes. Senator Vitter was one of the nay votes. He voted against the best interest of the people of Louisiana. Be sure to remember this.

The amendment to the Senate's highway bill needed 60 votes to pass, but was rejected in a 51-47 vote.
Reference to "user fee", applicable amount beginning 2014 - 2.5 cents to zero by 2022. ``(ii) APPLICABLE AMOUNT.--For purposes of clause (i), the applicable amount shall be determined in accordance with the following table:
