Shelbyville Texas wells

Can anyone tell me any info on what is going on in this area. Petroleum man contacted me yesterday with XTO, Starting to contact people to prove heirship. Said we have a shallow well . What does that mean. Do they pay on the whole section leased to each person involved a percentage? There are supposedly 2 other wells? Do not know if there has been wells there before or not. Says waiting for completion. Petroleum man says no statue of limitations, our family owns mineral rights for life. I still do not know how all of this goes together. Says he is doing the same thing the landman working for owner did. Family history. Any info for this area would be appreciated. I have learned so much from your website.Said we all have money in rece acct but have to clear title.

Sounds like you have leased and are in a unit that has been drilled. They are now doing title work to verify ownership of minerals. When title work has been completed, you will receive a division order. If the numbers on the division order matches your numbers, follow the instructions and send it back. Within a couple of months you should start to receive royalty payments.

Thanks  I missed this message somehow.I go to all the sites on GHS. I hope all this pans out. It has really been confusing. heirs like myself have all felt misled and if they offered us anything we would not know if it was right or legal. Being a state away makes all the difference. we try to read as much as we can and learn, Thanks again.
