Skip, way back you told me how to access scout reports, etc on my well, could you please provide me with that info again. Has it changed? I can't seen to have any luck with sonris.
Thanks,
Donnna

Hi Skip,
I followed your link and as far as I can see, it is identical to the one I printed last (scout report) back in January. I'm hoping I've done something wrong, surely something out there is happening??? I do have a land attorney here locally and we are still dealing with mineral rights issues; and as far as I know he doesn't have any info on the wells status. Thanks once again, Donna
Donna, once the well is completed and turned to sales the only section of the Well File that changes is Lease/Unit/Well Production. At this time production is reported through December which is normal as the reported production is always 2 months behind the current month. Production for January, 2013 should be posted in the next couple of weeks if not sooner. The state budget cuts will have a lot to do with lag time in updating the database. The SONRIS staff is doing a good job to keep up so far.

Skip, I understand the lag but is there any way to tell by these production figures what type of $ we are talking about, it any? Also, is there a way I can figure it out on my own so as not to keep bothering you?
Thanks again,
Donna
You can use the royalty calculator in the upper right corner of the Main Page. You'll have to know the acres in your unit and enter an arbitrary price for natural gas.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
