I apologize I just reread your first message and it it I apologize I just read your first message over again so the checks are from current small Productions. I had found myself in a financial situation where I was thinking of selling my property, 16 acres and first off since I live nowhere close to there I'm not sure how to quite go about it however there is always the question of the mineral rights. I would think I should keep the mineral rights but then I doubt the acreage itself would be worth very much? Thanks again skip for your help I really do appreciate it and I will talk to you later

Sorry I sent that before I proved in before I was ready. So the checks I am receiving every other month is this from production that is happening currently or in the past? I did notice that the check actually was more this past month than in the past.

Are you saying there is a possibility that another company could possibly drill in that same place rather than Comstock? if that were the case in the future wouldn't I have to sign a new lease

Donna, that well is largely depleted but will continue producing for a few more years at least. You don't get a check every month because the low production and your share do not meet the minimum amount for Comstock to cut a check except every other month. Eventually this will get to be quarterly and then semi-annually until finally you get one check a year. Some companies are drilling new wells in this area but not Comstock at this time. I feel sure they will drill before this well runs dry. It still reports production each month to the state.

I have a division order from Comstock oil and gas & it shows
Interest: 0.00421803 and I have no idea where this number comes from or how it was derived. I have tried to contact Comstock because I would like to know this before I sign and return the document. I'm hoping you are someone out there can shed a little light on this for me Ty, DD

Thank you Skip. I did go to that website but not sure what I'm looking at in terms of what it produced and it's royalties.

Donna, I'll post a link to your well at the bottom of this reply.  It's not a very good well however you should have received royalty on the production to date.  You will likely have to pursue this issue to get it rectified.  You should get as much information as possible from Comstock.  Use email to have a record of your communication.
