Help would be much appreciated, is this area a good area? What is a good lease in this area? My land is in section 34 and I would like to know if that section is a good one and how long before I might be getting offers. I have a 160 acre tract there.

Jason. No one knows. Probably not even Encana and SWEPI who have HA drilling units in Sections 6, 19-21,28,29 of 8N - 11W. There have been no HA wells drilled in your township to date. The closest are an Encana well in S4 - 9N -11W (Waiting On Completion) and a SWEPI well in S20 - 9N - 11W (permitted a month ago and not yet drilling). As you have a nice size tract, you will not be overlooked when a company gets serious about developing your area. Be patient and do some research, talk to neighbors, consider lease language, etc. You are on the far edge of the Play and will have to wait until development gets to you. My advise is to act interested when approached with a lease offer. Don't take the first offer. And expect to find more information available when that time arrives. Good Luck.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
