Any new info on the going negotiated rates for the Tiger pipeline? I saw where they're initial offer is $7125 an acre for permanent ROW (60') and $1425 per acre for the temporary workspace (65'). No mention of rods. Thanks.

IS IT TRUE THEY ARE NOT AWARDED ANY TEMPORARY WORK SPACE ONLY PERMANENT ROW?
SHOULD THIS GO TO COURT I MEAN DO THEY ONLY GET PERMANENT ROW AND NO TEMP. SPACE AT ALL AWARDED
That's what the lady at FERC said and, basically, how it reads in their Environmental Assessment. Having said that, It wouldn't surprise me if they could get the temp somehow.

From the FERC/Tiger EA
1.8.1.3
We do not believe that ETC Tiger’s proposed permanent maintenance of a 60-foot-wide right-of- way is necessary for operation of the proposed pipeline. Based on our experience and review of similar projects, as well as our understanding of pipeline operations and maintenance procedures, we believe that a permanently maintained 50-foot-wide right-of-way is sufficient to safely and efficiently operate large diameter natural gas pipelines. For these reasons, we recommend that:
• ETC Tiger should not exercise the eminent domain authority granted under section 7(h) of the NGA to acquire a permanent pipeline right-of-way exceeding 50 feet in width.
Limiting the permanent pipeline right-of-way to 50 feet in width would allow ETC Tiger to acquire sufficient land to operate the proposed pipeline facilities and would minimize permanent impacts to adjacent resources and land uses. Although ETC Tiger’s use of eminent domain authority to condemn lands, should the proposed Project be certificated, would be limited to a 50-foot-wide permanent pipeline right-of-way, ETC Tiger would be able to negotiate with willing landowners for the use of additional lands to operate the proposed Project.
I don't understand the pipleine thing! I hear tell they are going to come across our property with a pipeline from a well that is producing. If the come straight across the property 1000-25000 feet across our property. How do you figure that? We have not been approached yet but want to know what to expect.
Anything new on the ETC/Tiger pipeline ? Our landman went into hiding after their $409/ rod offer (up from $307 initial offer). We've been paid more for gathering lines.
They filed for an "expedited certificate" from FERC and should get that within the next several weeks. Once they get it, they can start the expropriation process. If you don't already have an attorney, you might want to be looking for one.
Great! Seems like another call to the attorney is in order. Can't understand why they want to roll over a few old ladies for a few thousand dollars. I would think they would spend in expropriation than to to just pay them for the ROW in a highly fractured tract. But there I go thinking again! Thanks Bacon.
Big D - Are you aware of and/or know how to access information about Tiger progress through the FERC website? There seems to be some lag, but there is reporting there similar to the way drilling is reported on SONRIS.

I'm aware of it but have not found the relevant info for the Tiger project. Gotta link or a quick tutorial?
Gotta library card? LOL!!!

Try this, click the tabs at the top for "Documents" or "What's New." Also, one of these pages has a link at the very bottom to the FERC website. I've used the search feature, which produced several results, but I'm not too sure what you're looking for, so have a go at it.

Sesport, I'm not sure what's going on with my posts, but some are not showing up. Thanks for the help. You would make a great librarian!
Big D - One more link.

At the top of the page, I changed the date from March to January.

At the bottom of this page is a text box labeled "Text Search." I typed in "Tiger Pipeline" and hit submit. It gave me a looonnnggg list, most recent addition was for 03.16.10.

Don't worry about posting back if it's not showing up. It's just the old "invisible cyber ink" switcheroo trick around here. ha, ha, ha

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
