Vertical Well vs. Horizontal Well

I've been following the Indigo Well 31 and just found out this well is a vertical well. Why would someone drill a vertical well in the Haynesville and how does a vertical compare to a horizontal in terms of output?

Sorry for all the confusion...for some reason I could not find the well on Sonris. Had my numbers wrong. Thanks to all for your help. I think this discussion is wrapped up. Merry Christmas to all.
