Well Comparison

Is there anyway to compare these two wells? Or would it be to indepth?

Discussion at our office, which one is producing better,,,,we are not in agreement.

Smith, it is a toss-up but I like the second one by a nose since it's flowing pressure is not much lower even though the flow rate and choke size are larger.

Smith,
Based on the IP rate of each well and the percentage of choke, rather than size in inches. And the flowing pressures being so near equal, it was not figured in. Here is what each well would have produced on the other wells choke.


Well #1, Actual IP : 7784 MCFD; 14/64 choke. Estimated IP on 22/64 choke of well #2:  ~12,237 MCFD
Well #2, Actual IP: 14,064 MCFD; 22/64 choke. Estimated IP on 14/64 choke of well #1: ~8968 MCFD

FX, the realtionship is not linear and you have to take the flowing pressure in account when comparing the well flows.
