I started looking through old documents in the document images on sonris and found that most of the well drilled in the 70s have a nice list of all the formations they drilled through. I own 80 acres in Ouachita parish and I found that all of the wells around my land have "massive anhydrite" listed at about 3,000ft. I know it probably doesn't have anything to do with O&G but what is a massive anhydrite formation and how is it formed?

On another note. I found several old wells that showed the Haynesville lime formation as far east as East Carroll parish. I thought that was interesting.

The Anhydrite was put there to mess up the drilling mud for people trying to drill a Rodessa well.

LOL
LOL, i love it....
It does make pretty core samples though.
