I have not been able to attend any meetings around this area (North Shreveport around LA 1/US 71). Is there anything coming up soon? If so, will it be posted on the calendar?

Thanks, SC

A group of residents in the Blanchard area are meeting at 6:30 on July 16th at Creamer's Furniture Store. We will have a representative from Chesapeake's home office to present an offer. It is the first time that we will be hearing offers. Anyone in the Blanchard area that is interested in listening to his presentation/offer should plan to attend.
Thanks for the information. Will do my best to be there. Sandy
Cathy, has anyone posted this somewhere for everyone to see?
Cathy,

Representative from Chesapeake's home office? Its not another 4% agent is it?
Should we try to attend ? I think your efforts will be rewarded, keep it up.
No agent, no commission man, no percentage. We will meet with the guy from Chesapeake. 75% of our group signed last night with the commission man. They chose to break rank and that is certainly their perogative. I have always contended that I DID NOT want to give up any of my bonus money. Who knows, the time may come that we will just throw up our hands and sign with someone that will take a portion of our bonus. Just not now.
Coonman, supposedly, the Chesapeake fellow is only interested in the land on the Shreveport-Blanchard Highway and surrounding land in a 5 mile radius. Of course, we have heard that song and dance before! If you have the time and are not sick to death of this sort of thing, please join us.
We were unable to come last night to the meeting-so what did you decide to do?? It's hard to trust any of these O & G people! I just want a fair bonus and a lease that favors the landowner! When are you going to pull the trigger and sign?
My husband and I decided that we are not ready to hand over a penny of the sign on bonus that we will receive. As I said earlier, it may come a time that we will do so, but for now we will hold out. It is early yet and we can wait a while longer to sign. The majority of our group signed with Energy Consulting Services of Louisiana. Ricky Lennard is the agent. He drew up a new contract after we balked at his first proposal. He will receive 4% of the sign on bonus and nothing more. He was a nice guy and was willing and able to answer all questions asked of him. We found him very forthcoming and honest, thus the large crowd that signed with him last night.
We will listen to this Chesapeake guy and then will come to a decision. Of course, we will NOT sign his contract as it is. We will add all of the addendums to safeguard our property.
OMG I dont understand... this thing is too pre-mature, I hope they read the contract and understand it. Well best of luck to them.... I'll be waiting and maybe deside to pay a 4%er one day but it will be at least 6 mths or longer our group is still strong. I'll try to make it.
my plan is to wait until the first of next yr and see where everything has gone. ..
just read this in the news
