RBH. You got it. This is the right place to post this question. I hope you get some replies which are helpful. And that you will provide your knowledge and assistance in kind. Good Luck.
Yes, we have been paid in June, July, and August, but not in September. I posted this information in another discussion, EOG says they overpaid us and it should be straightened out next month. They claim they calculated payment using mmbtu instead of mmcf. Is there something else going that we need to know about?
GAS PRICE QUOTED IN $/MMBTU; WITH LIQUIDS THE GAS BTU FACTOR VARIES BUT IS TYPICALLY GREATER THAN ONE. $/MCF CALCULATED BY USING $/MMBTU TIMES THE BTU FACTOR DERIVED FROM WELL TESTS. USUALLY THE MMCF ARE GREATER THAN THE MMBTU..BOY U GOT ME ON THIS ONE.
I dont have a clue what you are talking about. You obviously know alot more than I do. I was just repeating what the EOG person told me. So, are you saying that the mmcf calculation should be more than the mmbtu? They told me that we were in "the red" - overpaid.
Kathy, you and I are in the same boat, this is all a big puzzle to me, but thanks to the very knowledgeable people on here, I have learned and continue to learn quite a bit. I appreciate your questions. My question is there any answers to how much lower the royalty checks will go?
Gas at the pump is down again, what affect does this have on us as mineral owners?
Doesn't sound like I have learned too much now does it?
give me the detail off of what you were paid: month, gas volume, $/MCF quoted..I will try to help-explain; another suggestion is to call the gas gather and request details:

gas gatherer: ENBRIDGE PIPELINES (E. TX) L.P.,
ATTN DAN SAWYER 1100 LOUISIANA STE 3300 HOUSTON, TX 77002
713-821-2099
kathy---We are paid based on the MMBTU QTY of gas which is the mmcf X the BTU FACTOR which is a measure of the quality of the gas tested at well head each month. BTU > 1 means better gas. Avg in the East texas area is ~ 1.05 factor. So you are paid mmcf X BTU Factor X price of gas operators contract that they signed. which is a spot price near the Henry Hub Price for NG that month. The BTU multible is usualy calculated in the price noted on you payment sheet. So if EOG paid price X mmbtu on sheet then they are saying they double multipled the BTU factor and paid you too much which they will correct next month.
Thanks for the assistance with the explanation.
THank you, I think that helps.
Kathy, Did you get your check in September?
Has anybody heard anything on the gammage 1 well . No division orders, no checks, no gas totals. Why has'nt
EOG told anybody anything? What is the secret ? The 120 days are up.
The Gammage has not yet had a completion report filed of record yet. Other discussions and Texas Railroad Commission shows an amended permit filed 9-25-2009 and Field Name: Carthage, N. (Bossier) added.
