Since Angelina County doesn’t yet have a dedicated discussion forum, I’m using the Nacogdoches site. Goodrich Petroleum has just recently filed a Haynesville Drilling Permit in the Highway 103 East area (near Etoile). It’s a 912 Acre Unit, permitted for 22,000 feet (likely includes lateral), and a 6,000 feet lateral.

The Texas RR Commission Link is:

This is good news for Angelina County mineral owners located along the Angelina River. Hopefully as the big guys (EOG / Petrohawk) move south, we’ll have more drilling interest. I recently approached Sonera about a 100 acre tract along the Angelina River (100% mineral ownership) and received no expression of interest.

I started a group for Angelina County last night but it is still waiting for approval by Keith.

Mike, a permit in the county is a step in the right direction. Good well results are needed now!
I don't know if everyone realizes or not but this is a pretty large step-out from known production in Nac. Co. being nearly 9 miles SW of EOG-Crane 1H. Just have to hope now that they get a good well.
I have the well completion packet... it was spud 10-24-79 and was completed 5-15-80. They attempted production from Travis Peak with producing interval being 12,124'-12,137'.

IP test date was 7-06-81 (391 Mcfd)

Formation tops:
Pettit - 10,054'
Travis Peak - 10,485'
Cotton Valley - 13,316'
Smackover - 14,635'

Now I have to go find that Goodrich presentation and look through it again.
D. Gaar--jffree1 has his Angeline County group approved by Keith and is now up and running
I figured it must be but it was still showing "Wildcat" last time I looked.
The Ruby Flournoy #1 is not a Haynesville well, its Bossier
To further clarify, it is Bossier SAND but we couldn't have known that until some paperwork was filed. The field designation was just posted on RRC yesterday... and still no completion report.
