I see on the RRC oil and gas completions section that Samson has listed these two wells but there is no data included. They show to be  shut in producers, waiting on frac. Can anyone tell me what this means?

They turned in the drilling portion of the G-1 report.  When they frack the wells and tie them into a sales line, they will file a new G-1 to show the IP.  They were not reporting any production through April so the wells are probably not yet capable of producing gas.
Thanks jeffree1, I didn't understand how the well can be a "producer" if it hasn't been fracked yet. I guess not being plugged is a good sign.
Yes, that is a good sign.  They could be waiting on gathering lines so they can produce the wells once they are fracked.
The Michelle IP was 900 plus mcf. The other well on the same location made a good well. The Michelle was permitted with a 7000' lateral but they stopped at 2000'. They also cancelled the permit on #2. Anyone have ideas on why they would do this? The Michelle unit is across the road from EOG Hill wells and the wells on all sides are good wells.

I haven't heard anything but I think they may have had mechanical issues with the well.  Canceling the #2 well had more to do with surface locations and spacing issues.  The first unit plat has the 1H SL off-lease: http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/dpimages/img/900000-999999//PR000096...

and the amended unit plat has the SL on the lease but they canceled the #2H well, which had the same SL, when they turned in the amended plat on the 1H: http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/dpimages/img/1000000-1099999//PR0001...

Maybe one of the owners in the unit will tell us what happened to the well.

I'd sure like to find out if possible. I'm a mineral owner in that unit. I hope they'll try another one.
Why don't you call and see if they will tell you what happened to it?
Thanks Jffree1. I didn't know they would give out any info on things like that. Would you happen to know if they have a local office?
I only know one person who has an interest in a Samson well but I will ask her if she has a local or regional contact in the company.  I don't know of a local office.

jffree--- check the W-1 on drilling permit there should be name and phone # on the W-1. If they can not answer they should be apply to tell you who to call.
Thanks adubu, I've left messages for them and no return calls. I'll keep trying. btj
