Skip, explain some about spuds. Thanks

also have they done that to the mckeon well?

Stepping in for Skip- "sound" means the operator has started to drill the well

Claude, in the industry the term, "spud", refers to the first time the drill bit hits the dirt.  The first day of drilling the well is the "spud date".

I meant "Spud". DROID has mind of its own sometimes

LOL!

Hopefully, we'll have some news by the time NARO State convention rolls around on May 6 & 7.

Is the section correct on this well?   T1S R1W does not have a section 47 or am I missing something.

Please see Permit plat at end of this attachments

Lisa, there are "irregular" sections all over the state.  More so where there have been major waterways that have shifted course over geologic time.  Also keep in mind that the section listed on SONRIS is the "surface location".  You have to review the well plat to see where the planned perforations are located.

Erwin #1 was nine days drilling @ 3525' on Friday, 4/5.

Why  would Conservation put the unit on a skew to the existing survey lines, which run vertical and horizontal for the most part? What a nightmare that must be for the surveyor. AC units are geographic, not geophysical. This it total nonsense.
