Adamas has Haynesville wells in Sections 30&31.  Those were Aethon wells that Adamas acquired.  Those are older, short lateral wells that have been re-fracked.  That is all the Haynesville related activity I show in the township currently.  Depending on the science from those two wells, Adamas may look to develop more of the township in the future.  The closest recent leasing is to your north in 28-15N-8W by Castor Resources - RHR LLC.  We know that because a member alerted us but if you want to do a little research to see what else may be going on, go the the Bienville Clerk of Court's website and get a short term remote access account to look for memorandums of lease being filed in the public record.

Is something going on in this area, yes.  There are now lease offers in section 10, 21, 24 and 28.  Besides Willow Creek we have reports of lease offers by Castor Resources - RHR LLC.  It is still early but I would suggest that anyone who is on the verge of signing a lease do two things.  First check the public record in Bienville Parish to see what companies have recorded O&G leases and where.  Then go to a Shreveport law firm that has a track record of representing mineral owners and engage them to find out if they are in the process of negotiating leases for others in your vicinity.  Early in a leasing phase it is always good to move slowly and to wait.  Landmen will want to rush you and may even use threats but as long as we know active leasing is underway, you should be fine waiting to know more or to get better lease term offers.
