The latest seismic testing on our land, which was last week, was ordered by Chesapeake. The company said they had been hired by Chesapeake to test 17k to 22k feet. This is below the Haynesville Shale. Can anyone tell me what layer this is and why Chesapeake is so interested.

Seismic sees all depths, it is how it is processed that determines were they are looking.
