Bossier Neighborhoods Coalition Land Owners Meeting September 23, 2008

There will be a meeting tonight September 23, 2008 at Barksdale United Methodist Church for anyone who wants to attend. The address is 1465 Patricia Dr., Bossier City, La. 71112. Time is 7pm in the Sanctuary. It will last approximately 45 minutes. Non-binding agreements will be available. We are also actively looking for volunteers to help pass out fliers and go door to door to bring in new signers.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
