I heard today that a company called Cougar Land Co. was leasing land to do a 3D seismic on 118K acres covering 200 sq. miles along the Ar-La stateline. It supposedly will start NE of Haynesville north into Ar into 19S 19W all the way over to Webster Parish. This is a very good source and he was offered $15 per acre. Has anyone else been approached by this company? This sounds like really good news.

I was told, just yesterday, all would be acceptable but the time of completion. They require 320 days. The representative told me they were stretched thin as the initial Millerton Project has extended considerably. He stated, knowing there was a unit approved just to the east of me in Claiborne, that much work will be done on the seismic during and after drilling activity.
