Hey Tony, I am just a land owner from Union Parish. I have followed this discussion and site for the last 3 years. I guess I remember or have taken Skips post different from you, Skip posted an opinion quite awhile back when asked on the BML well, Skip stated at that time that due to the higher pressure he thought there would be a chance of an economic fairway in Union Parish. Recently he posted that there was no LSBD play in his opinion but may be a small economic fairway in Union Parish, I think that this was his opinion and to be honest I don't know if this well has changed anything outside of the fairway. This well is in the same area as the wb well I think the next couple of wells might help define how big of an area this play will cover.I hope the fairway is all of SWN acreage but that is yet to be determined. I agree with eveyrbody else, Skip is a good contributor to this discussion and I hope your personal  attack doesn't keep him away from this discussion.

No Tony I do not think Skip knows where the fairway is or what areas will be economic, like I said it is his opinion. I do think he post some facts and well results to back up his opinions. I think he posts information that is good and factual and I am glad for these posts. I do read his opinions but I take them for what they are. To me a lot of the post on here are bs just as is some of the rumors I hear around town. Hey but the rumors were true that the Sharp well was going to be a good one.

Tony, I enjoy your posts as well as North and Obed Odom, I appreciate all the posters and the information they post. And by the way I am a Brown Dense Dreamer and there is nothing wrong with that. I have been blessed by the LSBD already, not only has it put money that I never expected in my pocket it has led me to this site and the entertainment it provides. For Skip and others this is business, for me and several landowners its a dream of what could be!

I am not an industry person.  Just someone who has seen people state "pie in the sky" quotes and state them as if they were the gospel.  I've seen people in my area who wouldn't sign a lease because others had told them that they should get 30,000 per acre and 30%.  They didn't get a lease and didn't get a well.  Misinformation works both ways.

It's completely relevant.  If Skip expressed caution, I'm sure it was because he has seen people lose out because of inflated wishes too.

Now there are hard facts, and actual production.  I hope it continues to be good news for the area.

......

I agree with William Mitcham...Please Back Off Skip!!!!!!

I guess Bullies are everywhere.

Seriously...what is up with the negative attitudes.

Skip has always told me the facts and I value him as a friend who is trust worthy and knowledgeable.

We, in NLA have alot to look forward to.

Listen to William Mitcham...

Harmony prevails....

I thought we were grown up's.

I believe this site is a good place to get information but anybody that signs a mineral lease without some professional help(Oil & Gas Attorney), to save some money is very foolish and not taking care of business. Every man is responsible for his own actions.

Thanks for posting this very good news, North La.

I agree with getting professional help, Jon. But when a GHS "Expert" continually tells you that the LSBD is a loser, Why get an attorney? Skip and his cohorts have cost many people to lose money on the LSBD and I don't want his kind to keep screwing the uninformed people out there.

He is giving disinformation and has been doing so for a long time.

tony allen,

I'm not here to argue the merits of Skip's (or anyone else's) advice with regard to the LSBD or any other plays for that matter.  I do appreciate your directness and your opinions, though I must admit in reading your recent forum posts, to me it sounds as though you're hurt that maybe you or persons you know may have left money on the table based on your interpretation of recent events in the LSBD play, and are now trying to exact some sort of personal revenge here on GHS.

Also, we all really should know better than to rely on the advice of online "experts" (Skip or others), while discounting the value a reputable attorney and other real-world professionals can provide.  (disclaimer: I am neither an attorney nor an oil & gas industry professional).  Many times in my life, the value of professional advice I've received has been well worth the up-front cost...

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but in the end, every man needs to do his own due diligence, be responsible for his own actions, and ultimately needs to be at peace with his own decisions...

Matthew

Could someone tell me where this Sharp well is located via closest town in Union Parish and then how far away and in what direction? Thanks!

I know it's near Conway. And Conway is near Farmerville--Sharp well is not too far from the Dean well.
