In an article in Upstream dated May 3, 2013 by Noah Brenner "Duo Hoping To Unlock Hot Play" he writes that ConocoPhillips is looking for a farm-in partner that will drill a 5000 ft lateral into the Brown Dense on a 170,000 net acre prospect in Humphrey, Holmes and Yazoo counties.
He also writes that Apache has been running incognito under the name Dove Oil on a 80,000 acre play in Clarke and Wayne counties, Two vertical wells have been drilled so far with permits to the Norphlet to mask the BD play they are testing. The first well Blackstone 35-16 was spud in late December and the MH Hall 33-16 was spud in early February and a third well, Farrar 13-12 is permitted. All three wells are in Clarke County.
It will be interesting if some of the folks that know how to work the Mississippi well data site comment.
