Has anyone kept an exact count of units formed or proposed by SWN and Cabot in LA? I have a count of 13 but I could be off. Here is a recent document released by SWN showing all of their proposed or current units except for the new Lillie, North Mt. Olive, and absent are the 3 Cabot units. Anyone know what the red and green dots are with the dashed line?

I agree with your count of 13 units, but this doesn't include the Johnson and Dean permitted vertical wells for which units have not yet been proposed. Also it seems that the L SMK RA SUA (Hollis well) in the North Mount Olive Field must now have low priority even though it has been permitted. I think Sarah Randolph said a while back that SWN had filled in the frac pit for this well and planted grass over it. Maybe the new North Mount Olive unit in S6/7-22N-2W,  which Sarah describes, is a substitute. Activity does seem to be increasing at a brisk pace.

I have no idea what the line connecting the red and green dots means. Could this be the southern boundary of the high-pressure region?

Unit Counts do appear to be rising.  Friends tell me thatTraffic seems to be picking up around Union Parish in general.  They are Seeing numerous vehicles with Texas License Plates and different company names not seen before.  We shall see what happens in the near future.  It does appear that Cabot will be moving forward with site preparation in the near future in North-Central Union Parish.  SWN Desoto Rig #20 should be moving from Johnson Well to Doles Site this week.  Some excitement for Union Parish people to talk about.  Good luck to Union Parish residents.

SWN will likely bring in a second rig this quarter.

Skip, do you know if Cabot is well-versed in Horizontal technologies?  If not, will consultants typically be used to ensure that maximum efficiency and knowledge is derived from the wells they drill?  Or do you have ay knowledge about Cabot?

Cabot is an experienced horizontal well operator.  And they will have the benefit of the Brown Dense science generated by SWN to date.  With a Cabot rig and two SWN rigs drilling the prospect the learning curve should be shortened.  And that should tell us much more about the quality and extent of the prospect by year end.

Do you know for sure that Cabot is going to bring a rig in or already has one drilling?  They drilled the Denny but havent heard of anything since other than they were scaling back to see what SWN does.

Cabot has not made a public announcement concerning drilling plans. IMO SWN has shared the results and science of the BML well with COG.  And COG has decided to set up enough units to keep a single rig drilling through the remainder of the year.  If so we should see a well permit in the next thirty days.

???

I started my own map when North LA started this disscussion but my red and green dots are just as close as I could get them guessing because I had no idea what they were. The line and the unit placements were interesting.

Great map. Thanks

Also, SWN has two pad sites that I don't think are on the map.  I do not know the Township, Range and Sections but have seen both.  One is SW of El Dorado about seven miles and the other is west of Junction City out hwy. 9 then right on New Homes Road about five or six miles (in Louisiana).  I do not know if they are for lease wells or if units.  If they are on the map and I missed, pls. correct me. Or maybe the map is not intended to be all inclusive for pad sites.  Is the Dowdy Branch unit the one I described west of Junction City?

Heard DeSoto # 20 spotted today on hwy. 15 being moved from Johnson to Doles site.  Don't know when they started moving it.
