Hopefully, Whiting can crack this hard nut.

Could it be the nuts are going after the LSBD and Whiting has another formation in mind? Either way, I hope they crack it.

I see that the 960-acre unit (L SMK RA SUA in Blackburn field) in which this Jackson vertical well will be located, was approved by the Commissioner of Conservation on May 17, 2013.

Thanks Jon Cb. How can I find those Pre-App. Notices?

Jon, can you post the notice letter and plat?  tony, the pre-app notice letters are not in the state database.  Only those on the Interested Party list receive copies.

Skip

I am attaching the notice we received.

Thanks, Jon.

This is going to have a higher Gas to Oil ratio than the BML/Doles , and should have a higher pressure, given that its deeper.

They'll be able to have a high IP if they decide to open the choke for their in-house test, IMHO.

BLO, since the LSBD is around 11000 ft. along the stateline in Claiborne Parish and Columbia Co. do you think the pressure will be higher and high IP will be there as well?

BLO, a reasonable response to what SWN has done previously.  tony, be careful not to confuse permitted True Vertical Depth with the actual drilled TVD.  For example the permitted TVD in the Garrett well was 11,000' but the drilled TVD was 9828'.

Skip, I was talking about the AIX wells in 23n 7w. This well in sec 28 says the SMK A was at a depth of 10,400 to 10,500 and the BD should be below that depth. That would be at least 11000 ft. That is quite a bit deeper than the Garrett so I thought the pressure would be higher based on what BLO stated. Also the SMK is over 10000 ft on the AR. side in the Chalybeat Springs field.
