Tuckspuddin,
Please read the posts very carefully. My 1977 lease does not contain a PUGH CLAUSE. That 1972 lease mentioned did not pertain to my property.
There is alot of 'I just heard" or "My friend just told me they heard" on this site.
Example- "I have heard that Ranchland Acres has one of the best organized groups anywhere and that the whole area has really rallied together as a group. They are a shining example of how well a group can operate."

You and I own property in Ranchland Acres. Have you been contacted? Neither have I. If fact, I haven't seen nor heard Ranchland Acres with concrete meeting dates. Read the posts below this one. Once again, please check your lease out personally and don't rely on what is posted here. I not only contacted El Paso who also has your lease, but also with court records.
Thanks again, No my husband nor I have been contacted by anyone in Ranchland about a committee. I someone does I will let you know.
Tuckspuddin & Jody Hooper:

We are in the exact same situation that you are in. We have a lease that my grandmother entered into during the 70s. It is producing at, and always has, at a meager amount. However, there is a depth restriction on that lease...and there are also lawyers who can work through it with you to help you understand what, if anything, you can do.

My family has opted to take all of our leases to a lawyer to have him help us understand what we can do. We will likely spend about 1,000 in the process, but this will provide a ton of clarity and certainly be well worth it!
sounds as if you have a good handle on what to do...thanks for the info
Anyone who is in section 1, 13N, R15W, Desoto, needs to be at the meeting tonight! Call a neighbor and get the details!!!!
If your property falls in Section 6 or Section 12 of Ranchland Acres, you guys need to get a meeting together with the people in your section. It is a lot of work and worry, but there is safety in numbers. You can also pool information and field offers. I recommend you do it as soon as you can. I was directing my reply earlier to the lady on Pinto. Sounded like she is in Section 1. The meeting tonight is for Section 1 only.
Why do you say Section 6 or Section 12?
Where is Grand Cane. What Parish? What Region of Parish?
Catwoman,

One of our parcels of property is right near Ranchland Acres...unleased. Can you send post who I should get in touch with?

Thanks in advance.
I would love to be contacted by anyone in Ranchland that has organized a group. I have 11 acres and live in Ranchland and have not heard from anyone, but if anyone does please let me know. Thank you.
I am not really sure I live on Silver Spur. I will have to look at my deed or legal discrip. to know exactly what section I am in. I will let you know.
See if he can locate his Land Tax or Homestead Exemption documents. It has the Section, Township and Range listed. This will save you a trip to the court house.
