What happens when production continues for decades but no royalties are paid? The operator agrees $$$ are due, but has made no effort to pay.

Check the other posts, but I beleive the first step is to retain an attorney. Have him/her do a title search to be sure you are entitled to the royalties. The attorney can issue a demand to pay. Just some ideas to start with. Phone calls are useless. Certified letters from lawyers normally get faster action. Be sure to check all the topics. This issue has been addressed before I believe. The failure to pay royalties is not yet a problem for many. In time, it may be an issue for many. Louisiana law is titled heavily towards the producer and gives little recourse to owners. I wonder if an effort should be launched to reform this situation? What an effort it would be to take on the companies. At some point it seems right that the failure to pay royalties becomes a criminal issue.
Failure to pay royalties on producing interests??!!!!! I have never heard of this. Is there some type of ROYALTY OWNSERS ASSOCIATION THAT COULD HELP PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT BEEN PAID THEIR ROYALTIES??

WHAT DOES THE STATE OF LOUISIANA HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS????
WHAT COMPANY IS THIS THAT YOU ARE WITH THAT HAS PAID YOU NO ROYALTIES???
