Can anyone recomend an O & G Att. that we can have look over the lease?  We are happy with our amounts so just to make sure the written lease is good.

The att. that we have been using for other LA land problems said he would only look it over if he was the one who determining best price for us and the would charge the 5% of bonus.

Real O&G attorneys charge by the hour and will provide an estimate of the hours required to accomplish most basic tasks such as reviewing a lease.  Those who require a percentage of bonus or royalty should be avoided.  Randy Davidson or Grant Summers with Davidson,  Jones & Summers in Shreveport (318-424-4342) are at the top of my list of experienced and ethical attorneys with extensive O&G experience.  The also have few instances of conflicts of interest as they do not represent any major Haynesville operators and do represent many land/mineral owners with large mineral holdings.
Thanks,  I will try to use them!
Shayne, keep in mind that the firm is in high demand and very busy.
