I was searching DI for new permits for Houston County, and I found this "new permit." It says "Hackett #1" so looks to be a straight hole. Not sure why there's no actual permit to accompany this information. Maybe somebody can try the RRC Permit Query to see if there's been a W-1 submitted?

Anyway, it's just to the south of the Jim Bowie #1H and the William B. Harrison #1H outside of Crockett.

Yes there is a drilling permit for it. Filed 8-21-14. They are already building the location also for it I believe.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
