Sorry, the link did not work.  Said server is not available

Try this one.

Works Great, Thanks.  I heard that one well hit more than 200 bls/hour.... better than the 100 they stated.  We'll see how things go.  jhh
There map shows their proximity to the Nancy Brewster #8 and the Jordan #3. Very interesting.
thanks so much for the info

if you go to the link, about halfway down there is a picture map depicting the locations of the valence wells of interest. on the side of the picture there is a well/wire log. can anyone interpret and share what this log is indicating below the H/B ?

The sharpness of the map and log detail is lousy.  Almost certainly intentional.  I'm puzzled at the statement that the formation is the Norphlet.  I do not recall any production from this strata in the Ark-La-Tex.  I'd like to hear some comments on the petrophysical characteristics of the Norphlet.

I had heard it was the Eagle Mills zone. Norphlet is a new one for me.

All the original rumors that I heard concerning the Valence wells mentioned the Smackover.  Which would make some sense as the SMK is historically productive over a relatively wide area.  The Norphlet is just below the SMK.  The Eagle Mills is below both and also the Louann Salt and Werner formations.  It is older than the Jurassic group.  It is in the Triassic.  And that's as deep as any of my local stratigraphic columns go.
CR, see the attached.  One of the biggest Norphlet gas fields was discovered by accident.  The original exploration target was Smackover and the operator elected to drill deeper after the Smk logged dry.  Maybe the same thing happened here.

I heard Eagle Mills, too.
