I am a 1/3 Mineral rights owner, with 3 additional Family Members (100%) for app. 60 acres of Marion County property, (Jas. Phoebus Survey, A-320). Location west of US 59, right on the Marion to Harrison County Line (Little Cypress Creek).

It was Leased almost 2 years ago to PENN-VIRGINIA OIL & GAS, for 3 yoars with NO additional years.
I live in San Antonio, Texas. I know of NO ACTION in this area, DO YOU or ANYONE?

From the Tyler paper Sunday, November 2, 2008. A new completion in Marion County.

The Montgomery Unit Well No. 2 was completed 38 miles northwest of Carthage in the Lassater Field by Devon Energy Production. This well hit 11,245 feet and potentialed 474,000 cf of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
