A few months back horizontal drilling activities in Amite County screeched to a halt, save the completion of the Anderson 17H and 18H wells.

With the completion of 17H and the pending completion of 18H, signs of activity are appearing.

I predict several wells will be drilling by the end of June.

Let's keep ourselves informed here of drilling activities in Amite County.

Is Joe Jackson 4-H next? It is in 3N-3E.

There are recent preparations being made to drill there.  I wouldn't be surprised if it is next.

why  i am not seeing more posting on the goodrich well that is drilling in the county it looks like pepole  would be verry exited about what is happing in amite county misssippi

john, I think the lack of posts on the Goodrich Denkmann 33-28H #1 relates to the fact that the MS Oil & Gas Board database is not particularly user friendly.  What the MS group needs is a few more industry members who are familiar with how to access information.  In the Rig Data weekly rig report last Friday (June 29), the Ensign US Drilling Rig #753 reported 22 days drilling at 12,329'.

Skip, is this the depth where they start drilling the lateral?  Looking at Goodrich's map it looks like this well in near the 12,000 contour line.

Goodrich will report earnings around the end of the month and they have been very talkative about the TMS, so I would expect updates on Denkmann and maybe the Joe Jackson in which they have a 25% WI.

tc, yes I believe so.  The rig report lists the PTD (Permitted Total Depth)  as 12,500'.   That would equate to the approximate True Vertical Depth (TVD) of the well.  It generally takes several hundred feet of vertical depth to drill the radius.

I was hoping you would keep us up to date on the Denkman well, John Wesley.

The old saying, "You can't get there from here." applies to this well.  Access to the site is from Louisiana.  I haven't talked with anyone with first hand knowledge of what it is doing.

If you hear anything, we're all ears here.

dear bernell mcgehee  what are you hearing in liberty ms about what you said in your post please fill me in here iam in  the dark do you know something that i do not know

Hi John Wesley,

All I know is that there have been some activity indicating the drilling in our area may be cranking up again.  If I'm reading things right the several wells in our area that have been permitted and, in some cases, even site work started/finished, but that have been just sitting and waiting, will soon have drill rigs on them and/or more site work done, etc.

In other words, it wouldn't hurt to fasten your seat belt.  No promise here, but I believe the ride is about to start up again.

tell everyone in amite  couty ms and liberty ms that  they better start getting ready before the ride start up because when it strarts up we ant seen nothing yet yes that means you beetter start hiring more help for  wards becauce they will  not be able to the all of the bunssines

Our belts are as tight as we can get'em, John Wesley.
Hope it is a fun ride.
