Encana will drill another well at Horseshoe Hill soon. I was at the courthouse in Woodville last Friday and there appeared to be a lot of researchers - counted 17 that looked like oil leasing landmen. I have heard that there are dozens headed to Wilkinson and Amite Counties, so, I expect you will see activity ramping up. There are also supposedly a few new rigs headed to the TMS. Goodrich and Sanchez are supposed to drill soon and Encana should pick up the pace as soon as it secures a JV partner(hopefully Shell that they have a JV with in the Haynesville). I would expect Exxon to show up too if Shell comes in. We still need to be anxious about the decline in flow rates on the existing wells. Keep your toes crossed, but, it is looking good for Wilkinson, Amite and all the TMS at the moment.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…

After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
