Anadarko has met with some of the families above and will be moving in to do site work with drilling planned by mid year.

This is next to the Messenger/Encana field.

THanks for the update Todd. Do you know the township and range. Are they inching closer to 10-8?
Pat, thanks for the update. I will be on the lookout for any well permit. By the way my records indicate the Messenger well was the highest rate vertical completion to date in the Haynesville Shale.
On the record highest flow rate.
I understand this to be true. It is one of the better verticle wells in the Hanesville.
I think it is a shame that more poor people didn't tap the Haynesville Shale for a little pocket change. It looks like it is working out just like wall street and washington wants it to. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I spent over 35 years working with dead beats that won't even show up for work. They are too busy taking their kids to the doctor and themselves two or three times a week to get the LEGAL drugs. Then they have to have the time to take the drugs and sell them on the street one pill at a time. That is what the MEDICAL CARD does for them which your tax dollars pay for. The last job I had I worked for 23 years and missed 3 days when my Mom passed away, 3 days when my dad passed away, and three days when one of my brothers was killed in a head-on car CRASH-not an accident-the CRACKHEAD that hit him was on the phone with a 911 operator when she hit him saying she was going to hit the next car she saw, and she did it doing 110 miles an hour. If I ever get any change out of my small acreage I will put it to use taking DEADBEAT CRACKHEADS off the street. What better cause could there be?
I think I had better add to the above some facts to clear up the rich and the poor because some people will get offended. Many people will never know what poor is. I was in the fifth grade before I wore a pair of shoes to school. My first store bought hair cut was from a quarter my third grade teacher give me. I walked behind a mule every year to plow 20 acres just to eat. My Mother and Grandmother made my shirts from printed feed sacks. I never have taken one cent for food stamps and never will. But, when I reach the correct age, I am coming for my Social Security and it had better be there. If not I will be taking a trip to Wall-Street and Washington for the gold toilet seats-they are mine.

I now know that I will never get lucky enough to tap the Haynesville, even if I did MOTHER MAXINE WATERS would figure out a way to Nationalize my mineral and royalty rights to further the cause of Socialism and spread the wealth. What's right is wrong and whats wrong is right. That is where society has taken us. like it or not.
Where do you own land? Township/Range?
T8, R8 west, 40 acres of section 20
I will look at 8-8 and let you know what I have heard. I don't have that section map. Is it North of Powhattan? If not, give me a landmark close to where your 40 is.
T8, R8 is is about 4 miles south of Hagewood (Coldwater) . I live on Shilo cem. road ( Desota street ) just past the Fred Ballard place.
Thanks in advance for your answer Pat, I think I already know what your answer will be-like sell-out now and run.
No, don't do that! I am being told by some landmen now staying here that the Shale definitely exists further west and and south, most probably down to Southern Natch. Parish. You will however have to give it some time as the top 6 major producers in this area are having to get what some of them have had leased a long time into production. This, I believe, means alot of drilling before they will give big dollars for land south of the Powhattan area. In 3 years, there should be wells all over the place just north of Natch. Money and gas prices are the problem at this time along with a lack of drilling rigs. If you drive north on hwy 1, you will see at least 7 drilling rigs along the highway as well as some on I49. I think the future, ie 5 years could be good for you and I hope so!
