The Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Burton, John W. Well No.23 drilled by Devon Energy Production Company, L.P. This well will be drilled 6.5 miles southwest from Carthage in the Parker, M Survey, A-527 and will bottom at 12,500-feet.
In a lease 5.7 miles northwest from Carthage in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the CGU 23 Well No.25 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P Company LP. The well will bottom at 11,000-feet in the Samford, A Survey, A-632.
Devon Energy Production Company, L.P. will drill the Burton, John W. Well No.25 and the Hudson, Nell Well No.21 in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The No.25 well will bottom at 12,500-feet in the Parker, M Survey, A-527 6.7 miles southwest from Carthage. The No.21 well will bottom at 12,500-feet in the Hanks, I Survey, A-271 five miles southwest from Carthage.
The CGU 14 Well No.22 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P Company LP in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will bottom at 12,000-feet 2.9 miles northwest from Carthage in the Duncan, S Survey, A-158.
The Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Brooks, C. Well No.11 drilled by Patara Oil & Gas LLC. This well will be drilled 12.8 miles northwest from Carthage in the Collins, R Survey, A-138 to a depth of 10,300-feet. This well may also be drilled in the Itex (Pettet) Field, the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field, the Beckville (Pettit 6800) Field or the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field.

Panola County
The Alton Sims Well No.25 is located 14 miles northwest of Jewett in the Freestone Field. This well was completed by Berry Oil Co. to a depth of 13,175-feet. When gauged on a 26/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 3.537 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.
XTO Energy Inc. has completed the Cordray Unit Well No.2 in the Carthage, North Field. This well is located 2.5 miles northwest of Beckville with a depth of 11,855-feet. When gauged on a 24/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 234,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Bossier Shale formation.
