They may want to contact Chesapeake Oil & Gas, at 405 879-3795, or Pride Oil & Gas, (Encana) Neal at 337 233-7769; or Petrohawk Oil & Gas, 318 987-7560.

Chesapeake has leased land in this area for $5,000.00 an acre.

Pride has leased land in this area for $4,000.00 to $8,000.00 an acre depending on the number of acres you are leasing. The lease is for a 3 year peroid with a 2 year extension in place. (Example $4,000.00 for the first 3 years at the end of the 3 years if there is no activity, they can lease for an additional year [4th year] for the amount of $2,000.00 per acre; if there is no activity they can lease an additional year [5th year] for the amount of $2,000.00 per acre).

I have not heard of any offers from Petrohawk regarding amount of money they are leasing for, but they are in the area also.
