EnCana has received authority to drill an alternate Haynesville well in Section 14 of T12N-R9W.  It was an interesting application because the alternate well lateral is essentially along the same path as the existing Brown 14 H1 Well that tested at an initial rate of 3+ MMcfd.  This could be an indication EnCana plans to drill a Bossier Shale test in the section.  More information will be known once EnCana actually permits the alternate well.

The original well was off production for about 5 months but was brought back on in May.

Hi Les,

Thanks for this information.  My guess is they are planning to drill here to both test the Bossier and to HBP the section, should the existing Haynesville well become so marginal that they have to P&A it early?  I am sort of wondering if they still hold leases on some undrilled sections in this area that they might then step out into to hold, should the Bossier look really good in S14-T12N-R9W.  My section is already HBP, but that might make a bunch of other folks happy...
