OG, unfortunately I have no inside information. I believe a lot of people will be looking for the results from the Section 24 & Section 34 wells when they are completed and tested.
Right now in S 25 t12n 9w, there is a pad marked, but not built. For the last three weeks they have been in here surveying S 25 and S26 to lay a pipe line to get to both well sites(S26 t12 r9 included). They are supposed to be coming any day to pay for pipe line right of way in both S25 and S26. It seems to be finally gettin exciting again( I hate to get my hopes up!) Also have been contacted just today to have semic surveying done here. You should hear something from them, as you're in the same area as us. Hope this helps a little. Don't know anything about s36.
I am not in the know about all of this, so I am just gonna ask questions. Please bare with me. So when they lay pipeline, you only get paid if they cross on your land, or if they go anywhere in the section? Also if they lay pipeline, will they still possibly drill the well that was intended on that well sight. Also what is semic surveying. Thanks for any info!!! ok grl
I believe you must be in the units as me. If this so samson has a well online sine the end of may in unit 36 and they have just started drilling in 25. Both wells are named breedlove and you can look them both up on sonris.com. I hope this helps you and hopefully I have the sections right.
Lisa
There's no well drilling in s25 t12n r9w in Red River Parish.
Lisa, sorry but OG & BJ are discussing T12N-R9W rather than T14N-R10W. I know it all gets a bit confusing with the same section numbers.
Ok girl, I'll try to answer your questions, but I'm no expert at this. The only person that gets paid extra money for pipe laying is the land where the pipe is being put, it's not everyone in the section. Yes, this does mean that a well or two maybe more, will be put in this area because that's where the pipe is ending for now(s25 where I told you last year they have already surveyed for a pad). We keep hearing any day now they are coming to start work in s 25 . Now your next question about the semic surveying is one I have trouble answering but here it goes in my termonology! First step- someone comes in and pays you x amount of money to do this type of surveying. We received $25 an acre( $15 for permit to drill and $10 for upfront damages) Next someone comes in to survey your land, then they come in and drill X amount of holes( I think 60 feet deep and put something in it that will send off waves, they will then lay some type of cables across your land that connects to these holes. They receive data from the semic waves from all of this, telling them that we have pools of gas beneath us( I hope)! Drill baby drill!!!!! Now I know this is not the way a lot of others would explain this, anybody else may jump in and help both of us a little bit! Last thing OK girl is that ya'lls land connects to ours, so I know they are going to do this surveying on your land too. We were told that they only need one person to sign the form and that person would receive the money and it's up to them to disburse the money(this is on the contract). The semic surveying company said they would start their work within 2 weeks here. I think they are finally coming to our area! (P.S. Thanks Les B for letting me know)
BJ - great answers!! I would just add the seismic data also helps companies in designing the best path for any Haynesville Shale wells drilled on the properties so there are some indirect benefits for land owners.
Drill baby drill!!!
Wow That is pretty exciting to hear. Thank you so much for all the answers to my questions. So grateful.. Let's hope things are starting to roll. I say drill baby drill too!!!
So BJ have they started anything since the last time we spoke. Been a few weeks just wondering...
Sorry Ok girl, I missed this question from you somehow. Nope, nothing here, I did reply yesterday to your question. But just to let you know nothing's changed- everything is supposed to be on the go any day now- they may do the semic surveying first though. We did recieve another offer in the mail yesterday from Black Hawk wanting to buy our royalities... We just never answer any of these letters, but it makes you feel good that someone is wanting your royalities.
