Kinda new to this posting stuff, I guess I put these questions in the wrong place to start with.

Has anyone leased south of Hwy 103?
Or west of 1592?
What offers have been made in this area?

I have had a verbal offer for 6000.00 acre for minerals just south of 103 and about 1 mile west of FM 1 (near Rosevine).
I have 5 Relatives that live in Rosevine and Bronson and starting out they were offering $1500 an acre.
Now the oil co are offering $5K - $6K per acre. I have 3 out of the 5 who have received their checks and cashed them.
The company giving the leases is in downtown Hemphill next to the Post Office. That was 3 weeks ago.
I am now hearing rumors that the lease companies now require a lawyer to file for the money since relatives
were taking the money for land that needs to be divided among heirs.

I have relatives off 103 in Rosevine and the first offers were $1500 and went up to $5000
but then the price of oil went from $100 barrel to $40 barrell and I heard most of the
people had closed shop. I am still waiting to hear of any activity in 2009 in this Rosevine area
as I have not leased any of my land in that area. The Oil & Gas representative was in Jasper next to the courthouse on Main Street. Not sure if they are still there.
